Brunei, China To Forge Stronger Ties In Culture, Tourism During Expo Published: Tuesday, 20 July 2010
Tuesday 20 July 2010 ,China – The China-Brunei Darussalam International Cooperation Forum held yesterday, took place at the Ayu Hotel located in Yinchuan City, Ningxia, China.
Present at the forum were the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to China, Ms Magdalene Teo, and the vice-governor of the Ningxia Autonomous Region, Mr Tia Ming. Also present at the event were representatives from the Brunei-China Friendship Association as well as the Brunei Photographic Society.
In her speech, Ms Magdalene Teo said that forums such as this, provides a wonderful opportunity for experts and businessmen from both Brunei and Ningxia to come together to share their experiences and thoughts regarding the best strategy for developing and fostering stronger ties in multiple areas, specifically the areas of the halal food industry, tourism and culture.
The forum was held in collaboration with the second China International Expo on Art, Culture and Tourism, which officially commenced this morning and will run until July 24.~ Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
